Photographers of Distinction

A special exhibition by Basingstoke Camera Club featuring the work of local photographers who have been awarded prestigious distinctions by the Royal Photographic Society.

A celebration of the wealth of local photographic creative talent

The exhibition is at the Willis Museum, Basingstoke from Saturday 17 Sep 2011 to Saturday 08 Oct 2011

Weekend Photo Outing

A Pointer for Sunrise and Sunset Photography has been organized for 28 & 29 October 2011 at Swanage in Dorset. The weekend will be led by John Buttress FRPS and we will be visiting Kimmeridge Bay and Lulworth Cove to take sunrise and sunset ‘wishy washy’ pictures.

Photoclinic

This is a great opportunity to receive a critique of your photos in a friendly, constructive and non-competitive arena, so do consider coming along.

How-To-Do-It Sessions

Informal sessions in a member's house are held for members who want help with various skills related to producing and showing photographs. This will be practical advice on topics such as how to use a digital camera, how to manipulate images in Photoshop and then print them, and how to mount your prints. Look for the sign-up sheet or ask Mike or Cath.

Summer Programme

During the months of June and July, when the light nights are with us, the club embarks on outings into the surrounding countryside to take a few photographs and indulge in the odd glass of ale by way of refreshment.

In the past our travels have taken us in all directions around the town, sometimes as far as the south coast at Southsea, sometimes closer to home such as the Basingstoke Canal.

Details of the Summer Programme will be published near the end of the season.
