The Summer Programme

During the months of June and July, when the light nights are with us, the club embarks on outings into the surrounding countryside to take a few photographs and indulge in the odd glass of ale by way of refreshment.

In the past our travels have taken us in all directions around the town, sometimes as far as the south coast at Southsea, sometimes closer to home such as the Basingstoke Canal.

On occasion the weather is not particularly helpful, but by and large we do have very enjoyable evenings, rounded off nicely in a nearby inn. There is a surprising variety of locations within a short car journey of Basingstoke which have photographic promise, and we aim to visit the best of these in the summer programme.
