NAMING FILES FOR DIGITAL SUBMISSIONS
SUBMITTING DIGITAL FILES FOR COMPETITION
15th October 2007
There has been some confusing information given out on this subject. Below are the corrected instructions.
The filename should be in the following format.
Your picture name (Title) should be added using capitals where appropriate and using spaces between words and be the start of each filename.
This needs to be followed directly by an underscore. Then you should add your name using Capitals and a space separating your first and last names.
An underscore should follow directly after your last name.
Then follow this by either a capital A (Advanced league) or a capital B (Beginners/Intermediate league).
The extension of the file should be .jpg, This is sometimes added automatically by your application when creating a jpeg file.
Examples.
picture name_author name__A.jpg
The Winning Image_John Smith_B.jpg
The most important thing is to have underscores as the separators and the league clarification A or B in Capitals.
Also if you are submitting your pictures on memory sticks then it would help avoid confusion if the only files
on the stick are the ones you are submitting.
I hope this makes submitting your files a little clearer.
