Photographers and the LawWe’ve had an email from a member at Bracknell Camera Club about an e-petition that's doing the rounds to ask the government to clarify the position on photography in public places. Austin Mitchell has an Early Day Motion in place at the moment too. It's not a partisan policy and it would be of potential benefit to all photographers regardless of their political views. Here's the link:http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/photographylaw/ Austin Mitchell's EDM is here:http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/news/labour_mp_austin_mitchell_launches_photography_petition_in_parliament_news_197555.html and you can write to your MP and encourage them to support the EDM here: http://www.writetothem.com/

Annual General Meeting The club’s Annual General Meeting will be held on May 15th. All members are urged to attend as the business of the meeting will guide how the club will operate over the next year. If anyone has any proposals to be discussed please let the club secretary know by the end of April if possible. There will be a nomination sheet available on club evenings for the Committee posts and also the non-committee posts, so if you feel you would like to be more involved in the running of the club, or can help with the teas or raffle please put your name on the list.
